Reflecting on the series of event this past week leading up to this Sunday, I can’t help but to remember a story told in Acts 5:1-11. A story of a couple who drops dead after lying to the Apostles about how much they actually sold their property for. But I’m not thinking about them as much as I’m thinking about the group of young men that were assigned to “remove the dead bodies out of the temple”.
This week I witnessed how God used and ordered the steps of a group of young adults at RED to “remove” some dead things out of our church. The Lord graciously activated their gifts. Some dreamed, while others Saw in the Spirit and some Sensed and quickly discerned and others just plain out had encounters with the “dead” things. But they all responded in Spiritual Warfare! They heard the call of God to step into the Gap and travail in prayer and worship. They quickly responded with their eyes on Jesus and walked and moved in the authority of God.
Our team has tremendous maturity and they continue to grow. I am proud of them. They removed some dead things in the spirit this week. There was not only a cleaning of the Building in the natural, but we witnessed a cleaning in the spiritual. What a blessing and honor to have experienced God’s quick response to our prayers and declarations as a group!
Matthew 18:18-20 came to life right before our eyes!!
“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
There is Power in fervent Intercessory Prayer!
A few weeks ago I had an impressive dream:
I was sitting at a round table with Young adults: I was explaining to them or going over with them about identity.
I explained that:
You must understand and internalize that you are a daughter of A King. We need to know in our hearts, and understand that God has placed a Crown on our heads. We do not see it in the natural but it is there in the Spiritual.
When we forget who we are, it's like taking the Crown off. When the devil comes to sift us, tempt us or confuse us if we have our Crown on and we KNOW who we are, The enemy is Blinded by the Light of Christ (Sun of Righteousness -Malachi 4:2) that reflects off the precious metals of the Crown.
Then I actually saw what I was sharing with them, I saw myself with a crown on my head, Satan approaching and Christ Stood with a great light behind and to the right of satan. The light of Christ shone so strong that it reflected off my Crown making me nearly invisible to the enemy. then I felt myself fear and I began to take the crown off which made me increasingly susceptible, visible to the enemy approaching, I felt Jesus signal me to put the Crown back on, I can sense He was smiling, not shaken calm and cool! It was like He was showing me how Crowns work! LOL
This is what I got from the Dream:
Crown represents consecration (a Setting apart), honor, exaltation. we also know that in the natural it means Authority, Identity, Strength. Paul uses Crown to talk about the Garland that was placed on the head of a Victor, someone whom has won a race. Taking the Crown off is a sign of shame.
Meaning that when we sin we unintentionally take our Crown off.
When we Hide from God we take our Crown off.
When we fear, we take our Crown off.
When we don't have faith we in essence are forgetting the promises of God, and thus our identity in Christ which, in turn, removes our Crown.
When we remove our Crown, any time we do; we become vulnerable to the enemy. losing our authority as a believer.
Believers have an advantage that if we stand on our identity as SONS and DUAGHTERS that Crown- Our Identity- that is placed on our heads is our protection, it's what we hide behind, it's what Christ uses to hide us from the enemy. His Light-glory-, on our Crowns (knowledge of who we are) is our helmet of Salvation. Salvation in Christ gives us identity. This makes IDENTITY everything, to surviving spiritual warfare.
Someone who knows who they are is victorious.
I feel like God is saying I'm looking for people who will become my Sons and know they are my Sons and Daughters. so that, they may be active in their Authority and so that I can reflect my Glory on them.
Know Who You Are.
So Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
I was meditating on this scripture today and found that if we want increased faith we must HEAR. Hearing comes by the Word of God. As you read His word you begin to hear His heart and your faith is increased and developed. As we hear Him more, we are washed as our faith grows. Washed by His word.
Here is a step by step to help you get this principle deep down in your spirit:
It all begins with reading His word. can't get away from that; it's the Bread of Life. it must become an essential part of your day.
This was Posted on May of 2012. I thought it was worthy of being reposted, enjoy:
Pastor Nate continues to teach on Transition and change, it is an exciting time in our lives as we move forward in Christ to advance His Kingdom.
In life we will face those "Decision Making" moments: Should I go to school?, should I get married?, Should I move out of town?, should I cut ties with some people?, etc. Those "moments" can be trying to our Faith. At those times we may face confusion or doubt and we may even grow increasing weary of "THINKING".
Well, the Bible has a lot to say about decision making and I want to share that with you on this post.
The Bible tells us that wisdom, which is what we need to make decisions, comes from God. In those moments of making decisions we should seek God's wisdom and understanding. today Pastor Jesse Duplantis tweeted: "If you want to be successful in life, you need to know everything in the Bible." studying the Word of God will open up your eyes to His heart for you. You will know what to do when you draw close to Him. Here are some scriptures to help you get started: -Brisyo
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
So that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding…
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.Proverbs 22:3
A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished.
He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him.
"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."Proverbs 11:14
Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
It has been a long 10 years since these young women went missing. we are thrilled to see their safe return home. This whole incident, the Lost being Found, reminds me of the scripture Luke 15:32: "But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; He was lost and now is Found."
I live just a few blocks from the area that the girls went missing. I was running errands at the nearby bank and noticed all the media from different parts of the World! All eyes are on Cleveland! As I contemplated on this wonderful and joyous occasion I was reminded of a prophetic word spoken over the North East Ohio Region about 10 years ago. It was written and has been circulated among the churches. In this word it said that Cleveland will be experiencing a great Revival and that all of the world would come to SEE what was happening here! Knowing that what happens in the natural is a foreshadow of what is to come in the Spiritual, I quickly understood the Miracle that was unfolding before our eyes! The return of the ones being held Captive, 3 women who lost the most exciting decade of any persons life, Young Adulthood; to be found and given another chance at life, what a picture of the condition of our generation today! The young adults are being held captive by perverse lies. They are being held captive by sin and lust of the flesh, and yes against their Spiritual Will. These young women's spirits were vexed. They will never be the same, their innocence stolen. Our children's innocence is being stolen and people between the ages of 14 and 30 are being deceived by the great deceiver and father of lies.
But God! He has promised Revival on this land. the Lost will be Found! and they will come home and regain their identity in Christ! They will come home and receive true freedom! Their wounds will be healed and their hearts mended!!
Look Up, and see the harvest! Look up and see God's glorious salvation come!
Today I have been reflecting on pain. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, “Pain? Who wants to think about pain?” Pain is not the best thing to think about but if you really think about it, all of us will experience it at one time or another in our lives; probably more often then we want too.
Sometimes we will go through painful experiences that cause a lifetime of painful reflection while other times we will experience pain that causes us to change and, in the long run, actually be thankful for the experience.
At this moment that I’m writing this I am experiencing emotional pain. But I reflected and thought to myself, “This is nothing compared to the pain others have experienced.” I have not had any major losses in my life; I’ve not lost a child or a parent nor my husband to death. I have not been hurt permanently nor left abandoned. Although, I know that some day I will experience that type of pain, I am reminded of Philippians 4:11-12 that says, “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.”
Isaiah 26:3 says, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” This is perfect peace: When we put our mind to purposely think about the Lord and His goodness immediately we reflect on our pain and think, “Wow, Really, my life is not that bad; things can be far worse. “
Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:10, “For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
When we are persecuted or go through hardships we can put our heart at rest knowing that God is on our side. We become strong knowing that we have a God who promises perfect peace when in our weakness we turn to Him. When we turn to Him we become strong and can weather the storm that is causing pain in our lives. God gives us wisdom, tranquility and helps us to be content with what we have and trust that God knows what we need and will help us in His time. (Philippians 4:19) And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Last night a few people from 2 churches gathered around the Musicians at their instruments at RED and sang in unity "The Lord has Given Us Freedom, Given Us Freedom, Given Us Joy"
As we sang that I felt an amazing Joy like a bubbly spring of water rising up. THe Joy of the Lord is our strength. Nehemiah 8:10 says: "Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
In the story before getting to this verse, the people had asked the Prophet Ezra to read the Laws of Moses to them. They eagerly sat around the Prophet and Elders who helped them to understand the scriptures. As they heard the Words written in the Scrolls they wept with conviction and in worship they bowed down with their faces to the ground. Nehemiah then told them what we read in verse 10: "Do not be sad, instead rejoice for the JOY of the Lord is your strength."
I believe last night I saw, yet again, a beautiful picture of God's freedom. As we worship and HEAR the word of the Lord we are brought to humility and then the Lord fills us with Joy which strengthens us to continue the journey set before us.
May you continue to hunger after God's amazing presence and that your JOY may be full!! Worship Him and see the Glory of God.
In spite of a few glitches here and there Encounter weekend 2013 was a huge success. We saw people getting healed and delivered from sickness, sins, the past and un-forgiveness. The sweet presence of God was there all weekend Guiding us. 12 people were baptized in water and all of them experienced the Freedom of God.
We are set free to set others Free. We are healed to help others heal. We are forgiven so that we too can forgive. This is true FREEDOM. Whom the Son set free is free indeed.
I encourage all who attended to maintain this new-found freedom. There is nothing too hard for God. remember that Praise is your weapon. Determine to live a lifestyle of Repentance before the Lord. Look to fulfill the Great Commission and always remember to live in the Spirit; Live in God's presence, it's where we breathe, it's where we survive. He is but a breath away. Call on Him and He will answer.
Pastor Nate and I are proud of each of you as you leave your past behind and move into the future lighter than before.
Vashti, my 13 year old daughter, showed me this picture she had drawn in her free time at school, she titled it" Let Go!". As I looked at it a sense of peace and relaxation came upon me and I had to upload it to my phone. I knew there was more to this picture than meets the eye. The simplicity of it speaks to me. It's a simple dandelion that has reached maturity. the dandelion produces bright yellow flowers, and the plant continues to flower through its lifetime. The flowers eventually develop into heads composed of tiny seeds attached to pappus, fuzzy structures shaped like parachutes. When the seeds mature, wind currents blow the head of the dandelion apart and the pappus carry the seeds for miles through the air. Once the seeds land on damp, warm soil, they germinate and the life cycle begins again.
The dadelion becomes fragile after it's beautiful yellow flower turns into seeds. The Dandelion is surely reminded at this point that it is a weed and not actually a flower. Very much like us in the garden of life. There are times that in life we go through moments of insecurities, we are reminded of our not-so-lovely past or our attention goes to our not-so-pleasant present. We turn very much into a fragile little flower.
Have you been feeling fragile lately? Now, I don't know about you but I happen to like the Dandelion the most when it is all white and fuzzy like the picture Vashti drew. This is when you see little children and adults alike picking them up and blowing them into the air. Little do they know that the Dandelion is in a dying process; it is spreading its seeds to help produce more of it's kind. "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." Hebrew 12:1
I would imagine that it is not a pleasant process for the little flower but we see beauty. The process that we go through sometimes is not pleasant for us, but others see beauty. God sees beauty.
Just as it is important for the little dandelion to Let Go of it's seeds, It's important for Believers to embrace the times of development in our lives and trust that we are equiped enought to simply, "Let Go". “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. -Is. 43:18-19
As the winds of daily situations and issues arise and sweep you away, know that the seeds in you will be sent off into areas that will cause growth. There is purpose for our storm. There is purpose for the Cycles that we go through. God wants us to simply Let Go, as He picks us up and shares us with the world around us. Your story needs to be told, your life shared. Let God breath on you.
