If I brood on the Cross of Christ, I do not become a subjective pietist, interested in my own whiteness; I become dominantly concentrated on Jesus Christ's interests. Our Lord was not a recluse nor an ascetic, He did not cut Himself off from society, but He was inwardly disconnected all the time. He was not aloof, but He lived in an other world. He was so much in the ordinary world that the religious people of His day called Him a glutton and a wine-bibber. Our Lord never allowed anything to interfere with His consecration of spiritual energy.
The counterfeit of consecration is the conscious cutting off of things with the idea of storing spiritual power for use later on, but that is a hopeless mistake. The Spirit of God has spoiled the sin of a great many, yet there is no emancipation, no fullness in their lives. The kind of religious life we see abroad to-day is entirely different from the robust holiness of the life of Jesus Christ. "I pray not that Thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that Thou shouldest keep them from the evil." We are to be in the world but not of it; to he disconnected fundamentally, not externally.
We must never allow anything to interfere with the consecration of our spiritual energy. Consecration is our part, sanctification is God's part; and we have deliberately to determine to be interested only in that in which God is interested. The way to solve perplexing problems is to ask - Is this the kind of thing in which Jesus Christ is interested, or the kind of thing in which the spirit that is the antipodes of Jesus is interested? by Oswald Chambers - My Utmost for His Highest
3 Weeks ago Pastor Nate preached a message at Iglesia Nueva Vida, 10am service calling people to "Come Home!" He repeatedly said it, loudly sending a chill through those of us who were listening: This was a prophetic word given to Pastor Nate back in March of 2012, I thought it was worth reposting!
The Father says today, this year I'm going to show you new strategies for evangelism and ministry. The enemy has threatened and tried to keep you inside the barriers of personal limitation. I am going to show you how to exceed the limits of man and your own limitations and actually take whole cities for the kingdom. Conquest is My nature says the Father and dominion is My natural response when the enemy assaults and seeks to overcome My creation.
I have placed a spirit of conquest in you and I have endued you with a sense of dominion and power to overcome. This is not a time to compromise with the enemy.
The enemy knows his end is at hand and he wants to propose a "live and let live" truce. Don't accept the lie says the Father. There are lives at stake and captives awaiting liberation.
Begin to take authority. Go to the places I send you and take authority over the darkness and bondage that have held your community in thrall to the enemy.
Declare the captives set free and prison doors open.
Refuse to be distracted or displaced from the place on the front lines I have positioned you in.
I will send reinforcements when it seems you are going to be overrun.
Stand firm and be resolute (unwavering). Open your mouth and declare and war and intercede. The hour of conquest has come and great victory is at hand for you and for those around you says the Father.
“For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, FEAR not, I will help you”. Isaiah 41:13.
“The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight, You have been Honored, And I have loved you;
Fear not, for I AM with you; I will bring your descendants from the East, and gather you from the West;
I will say to the North, “Give them Up! And to the South, ‘Do Not KEEP THEM BACK! Bring my Sons afar and my Daughters from the ends of the earth – Everyone who is called by My Name, whom I have created for My Glory; I have formed him yes, I have made him”
‘Bring OUT the BLIND people who have EYES, and the DEAF who have EARS…and watch me Display my Wonders before you and this City yes even this Nation. Isaiah 43:3-8.

Character in a saint means the disposition of Jesus Christ persistently manifested.
It is the unseen and the spiritual in people that determines the outward and the actual.
